(also
known as: verbal abuse, mental abuse, and psychological maltreatment) Includes
acts or the failures to act by parents or caretakers that have caused or could
cause, serious behavioral, cognitive, emotional, or mental disorders. This can
include parents/caretakers using extreme and/or bizarre forms of punishment,
such as confinement in a closet or dark room or being tied to a chair for long
periods of time or threatening or terrorizing a child. Less severe acts, but
no less damaging are belittling or rejecting treatment, using derogatory terms
to describe the child, habitual scapegoating or blaming. |

The inflicting
of physical injury upon a child. This may include, burning, hitting, punching,
shaking, kicking, beating, labor or otherwise harming a child. There are a
lot of economics that go into the thinking behind Child Labor. Most children
that are forced to work are economically disadvantaged. Either their country
as a whole is disadvantaged, or just their family. These conditions are very
appealing to businesses. These businesses think that they can get cheap labor,
and they are usually correct.Children are at that stage in life where they
are suppose to be protected. They are suppose to be told what to do and are
not capable of doing too much thinking for them. They are the hapless victims
of big business and greed.
Parents
that would normally stick up for their children are usually unable to do so.
Either the parents are in their own deep state of poverty or they are unaware
that their child is in need of help. Sometimes, parents feel that the only
way to survive is to sell their child to a company. They may feel that the
company will give the child a better life then they are able. This does not
make it fair, but there is sometimes no other option for the parent. Other
times, children are kidnapped off of the streets and their parents never know
where they have gone. |

Child Labor
is a contributing factor to why third world countries stay third world countries.
Child Labor is usually accompanied by high child death rates, low life expectancy,
low iligitability rates and poverty. None of these things contribute to an economically
healthy society. For most countries children are seen as the future. With this
in mind, Child Labor does nothing but destroy the future. By keeping children
out of school the country will never be able to developit's full potential.
The high rate of mortality in children coupled with the low life expectancy
rate, virtually insures that the population will eventually decrease. Because
these conditions will continue, unless something is done, Child Labor will also
continue and with it the future of many assets is going to decline. |

The inappropriate
sexual behavior with a child. It includes fondling a child's genitals, making
the child fondle the adult's genitals, intercourse, incest, rape, sodomy,
exhibitionism and sexual exploitation. To be considered child abuse these
acts have to be committed by a person responsible for the care of a child
(for example a baby-sitter, a parent, or a daycare provider) or related to
the child. If a stranger commits these acts, it would be considered sexual
assault and handled solely be the police and criminal courts. Except strangers, some
innocent children are trapped by their family member like stepfathers, servents, teachers
etc. Some professionals assume that accusations of physical or sexual abuse
of children that arise during divorce or custody disputes are likely to be
false, but the empirical research shows no such increase in false reporting
at that time. In many instances, children are frightened about being alone
with a father they have seen use violence towards their mother or a father
who has abused them. Though child sexual abuse is very common in our society
but people are less aware of it.To act as a good parent, parents should ask
their child each and everything regarding him and should act as a trustworthy
friend because mostly children being the victims try not to tell their parents
or caretakers. This leads to their destruction sexually, emotionally and physically
and they then try to find way out from this nerve-racking situation.
Today
child abuse has given a big turn towards the destruction of innocent assets
no matter what type is involved and if it will continue then the futures
of both the children and the earth will be in a big unexpected decline. As
children are considered to be the future they should remain being untouched
by the devils on this earth.
